Do I need a driving license or some sort of certification to rent a Bee Scooter?

No you don’t.

I am a new rider, are there different modes for beginners?

Yes, if you are new bee scooter rider, you can choose to activate Reduced Speed mode. This will help you get used to the accelerator and brakes.

Can two people ride on a bee scooter?

No, bee scooters are only for one rider.

Is there an age limit?

Age is just a number, but when it comes to road safety, 18 is the magic number. So, yes you have to be over 18 to ride a bee scooter.

Should I wear a helmet?

Always wear a helmet, when riding a bee scooter.

Is there a weight limit?

There is a limit of 100 kg, including your gear.

How much does it cost to ride a Bee Scooter?

Detailed prices are available to Bee Scooter app users.

What payment methods can I use?

Paypal, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Apple Pay or Google Pay. 

What if my Phone runs out of battery.

We hope it doesn’t but guess what. That’s what we are here for. Just Park it and we’ll end the ride.

Can I pause a ride and reserve the scooter?

Yes, you can for up to 2 hours. If you exceed the 2 hours limit your ride will end and the scooter will be available to other users.

I can’t connect to the scooter

First try these steps on your app

  • Is the scooter visible on the bee scooter map?
  • Does the scooter have at least 20% left of battery?
  • Have you turned on Bluetooth and 4G?
  • Do you have the latest version of the Bee scooter app and phone software?
  • Are there sufficient funds in your payment method?
  • Do you have any outstanding payments for a previous ride?
  • Close and restart the app.

Why am I receiving a warning for bad parking?

Most probably because you have parked in a dangerous or risky spot and we want our riders and the rest of the world to always be safe around Bee Scooters.
